I’m a writer and lyricist based in Texas, drawn to stories that carry meaning, honesty, and a little bit of soul. My work is shaped by real life—faith, family, struggle, resilience—and the quiet moments in between.
By day, I’ve spent years in healthcare, working in behavioral health and quality improvement. Outside of that world, I write—lyrics, reflections, and stories that explore what it means to love deeply, endure hardship, and hold onto something bigger than ourselves.
My creative work is also shaped by a quieter, ongoing journey—using modern tools, including AI, to explore scripture, deepen my understanding of faith, and carry those insights into the words I write. I use those same tools to help bring my lyrics into music, giving voice and sound to what begins on the page.
Whether it’s a southern gospel ballad, a raw lyric, or a thoughtful piece of writing, my goal is simple: to make something real. Something that evokes feeling. Something that reminds you you’re not alone.
And sometimes, the most honest things we create are the very things we needed ourselves.
I’ve been with my wife for over two decades, and we’ve been married since 2007—a commitment rooted in faith, family, and shared values. Together, we have four children—two boys and two girls—and two grandchildren.
Like many families, our story isn’t without its complexities, but it remains an important part of who I am. I also come from a large family myself, with two sisters, a brother, and more nieces and nephews than I could ever count.
Outside of writing, I enjoy a mix of hobbies that range from technical to nostalgic—keeping tropical fish, building computers, and anything connected to fast cars or the spirit of the 80s. I’m a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan, and I tend to unwind with crime dramas or anything set in the Star Wars universe.
I graduated from nursing school in 2005 and currently serve as a nurse supervisor and quality assurance/compliance manager in behavioral health, where I focus on both patient care and system improvement.
Before entering healthcare, I spent over a decade working in the oilfield, gaining hands-on experience and a strong work ethic that continues to shape how I approach my work today.
Along the way, I’ve also held a variety of roles—some brief but memorable—including washing dishes in a local restaurant, working as a movie theater usher, serving as a geo-tech in an oilfield geological library, and even operating a camera for a local Christian broadcasting channel. Each of these experiences, in different ways, contributed to the perspective I carry with me now.
